The Integrity Filter

A 3-question EQ framework for leaders who want to act with alignment, not ego.
When you feel emotionally triggered, uncertain, or tempted to act from fear or approval-seeking, pause. Use this self-alignment tool to lead from a place of values, not volatility.
This framework takes less than a minute and helps you anchor yourself in clarity, confidence, and integrity. Use it during tough conversations, decision-making pressure, or anytime you feel your leadership identity slipping into reaction mode.
🧠The 3 Questions of The Integrity Filter
1. Is this aligned with my core values, or just my current emotion?
Before acting, ask yourself: Is this who I want to be, or just how I want to feel in this moment?
Leading from values creates consistency and trust. Leading from emotion creates volatility and regret.
2. Would I make the same decision if no one ever found out?
If your choice only feels right when others are watching, praising, or reacting – pause.
True integrity lives in the dark, not under a spotlight. The most meaningful leadership decisions often go unnoticed but shape how you’re trusted in the long run.
3. Am I choosing clarity, or avoiding discomfort?
Clarity can feel hard. But when you avoid it just to keep the peace, you invite confusion, resentment, and misalignment later.
Ask yourself: Am I being kind, or am I trying to be liked? One builds respect. The other dilutes your leadership.
đź’ˇ Why This Framework Works
When you're under pressure, your brain prioritizes speed and safety over clarity and alignment. That's when you’re most likely to act from emotion, ego, or fear.
This framework interrupts that autopilot. It creates space between stimulus and response – just enough to recenter you in what actually matters: your values, your long-term trust, and your leadership identity.
Over time, these 3 questions build a habit of inner alignment. And when your inner world is calm, your outer leadership becomes unshakable.
